From the windows of Marie-Jo's gite you will see the bell tower of the Saint-Alphonse church of Mont d'Halluin and a blockhouse, a remnant of the Maginot line. Located near the Manoir aux Loups, famous arboretum dating from the 30s (can be visited), and close to the Belgian border, the cottage of Marie-Jo is on the way to Billemont, former path of Gabelous. If in its countryside and inside its cottage, old farm partly restored, Marie-Jo has kept the spirit of the Flemish estaminet, to relax some games of the region are available in the room. Close to major roads (A22) and close to major cities (Halluin, Menin in Belgium, Tourcoing and Lille metropolis), you will enjoy a very good "base departure " to visit the Flemish country and Bruges which is located at 40 minutes.
